Born and raised in Broadway, Whitney moved to Woodstock 14 years ago after meeting her husband, Devon, a native of Woodstock. She is a graduate of Broadway High School and completed a Surgical Technologist program. Whitney has a strong belief in the value of public education and technical programs. With over twenty years of experience as a surgical assistant in the operating room, she has developed skills as a level-headed, pragmatic, and effective communicator. Whitney is actively involved in the school division’s Mental Health Task Force, Library Book Review subcommittee, and the Superintendent’s Parent and Community Advisory Committee.

As the parent of a rising fifth grader at W. W. Robinson Elementary and a 2024 graduate of Central High School, Whitney understands the ongoing challenges students and teachers face in recovering from pandemic-era learning loss. She advocates for a strong sense of discipline to uphold the integrity of the educational environment, allowing teachers to teach. Whitney envisions improving information sharing by ensuring key updates, decisions, and data are communicated clearly and consistently by the school division.

Whitney is dedicated to addressing student academic struggles, keeping unnecessary politics out of schools, and safeguarding taxpayers by promoting appropriate allocation and efficient use of resources. She and her family cherish the strong values of Shenandoah County, and she is committed to ensuring parents have a voice in passing these values on to their children.
